Greetings Friends and Supporters:
Welcome to the website of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Metropolitan Saint Louis Chapter! We are delighted that you have decided to visit our website to obtain more information about our Chapter and our organization on a national level.
The Metropolitan St. Louis Chapter was chartered by Dr. Fredda Witherspoon and many influential women in the St. Louis community on March 10, 1984. Since our chapter was formed more than 32 year ago, we have been promoting the national agenda at the local level by advocating for women and children of color in the areas of economic development, education, health, and public policy.
We are excited about our signature program, Changed by Design, which meets monthly to mentor young ladies in grades 6 – 8. This program is in its’ 2nd year and it is growing! Our Chapter is working hard to be advocates for women and children in our community. We work with the Crisis Nursery as volunteers, by adopting a family and serving as their Holiday Angel during the Christmas season, we present the Against the Odds scholarships to women over thirty who are continuing their education and honoring women who have made an impact in the community at our annual Mother’s Day Brunch.
We are asking for your continuous support as we are being change agents in the Metropolitan St. Louis area. On behalf of the members of NCBW-STL Chapter, thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
